Brittany Dawn Brannon was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. She began classical ballet at the age of two and at the age of 17 she was accepted to the America Ballet Theater in New York City. Her love for music began at age 5, when she began to study classical violin and piano. Her training and skills lead her to become a violinist in the Phoenix Symphony Guild. Brittany traveled with PSG to Europe for The Mozart Tour in 2008 where they performed in Vienna, Budapest, Prague and Munich. In 2009, she attended the Bob Bondurant School of Racing and received her SCCA racing license. Brittany has had the opportunity to travel extensively with her family and has had the blessing to visit over 25 countries by age 21. This spurred her passion for culture, art, and people around the globe.
She was crowned Miss Arizona USA 2011 on November 19,2011- where she also won the Miss Arizona USA Photogenic award. This began her journey to Miss USA and a year full of memories. She competed at Miss USA 2011, on NBC, on June 19, 2011 and placed Top15 and also won the Miss USA Miss Photogenic award. She spent her year dedicated to working with the Wounded Warriors, USO, Hacienda Health Center and traveled the country speaking to high school students and young girls on the importance of Leaving a Legacy. Brittany’s year also included Muhammad Ali’s Charitable Fight Night Gala, a visit to Walter Reed Medical VA Hospital, a New York Media Tour, Regis and Kelly Live, Fox and Friends, USO events, filming for NBC, visits to elementary schools, high schools, ballet schools and many more once-in-a-lifetime events. She won Miss Photogenic four times throughout her pageant experiences at Miss Arizona USA 2009(3rd RU), 2010(1st RU), 2011 (Winner) and Miss USA 2011(Top15).
Brittany currently resides in Arizona and Los Angeles, in-between her travels. She graduated from Pepperdine University with majors in Broadcast News and Art History. She has studied English Literature at Oxford University and Cambridge University in England. Brittany also attended the SACI School of Art in Italy, studying Renaissance art history and photography. She recently interned for Senators in Washington, D.C. and has worked at NBC Universal on The Today Show and Nightly News.
She is currently pursuing a career in TV Hosting. She was the TV host for Phoenix Fashion Week 2012 and has worked as the "Fashion Host" for Your Life A to Z on Channel 3 in Arizona. Her modeling experience includes the campaign for Rain Cosmetics, CHI and Farouk hair products, designer Sherri Hill, designer Tony Bowls and recently filmed the commercial for NBC’s new TV show, Grimm.
